How to Close Other Applications Causing Conflicts with Video and Audio

How to ensure other applications are closed

Applications that use the Camera/Microphone e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype can sometimes take priority over these devices – When this happens, Visionable sees that the devices are in use and cannot access them (This results in not being seen/heard in meetings).

To resolve this problem, ensure the mentioned applications are closed before starting your Visionable meeting.

 

Using the system tray

When closing an app using the cross in the top corner, it actually remains open and running in the background


To ensure the application is closed, you can check on your system tray (Bottom right of the screen).

1.       Click the up arrow to see all of yours apps

2.       Right click on Microsoft Teams (in this example)

3.       Select Quit.


 

Using Task Manager

Alternatively, you can use Task Manager.

To access Task Manager - Press Control + Alt + Delete simultaneously and then select Task Manager or right click in the task bar at the bottom of the screen and click Task Manager



You can then right click on the application and select End task
